A lot has happened to the world this year. Unfortunately, there has been no good news in the area of relationships between nations. The war between Israel and Hezbollah and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continue with no end in sight. The return of Donald Trump to the White House will most likely shift the United States to the right. But we can still pray for better relationship between China/Hong Kong and the United States.

The University of Hong Kong has done well in the high education field in the past year. It has climbed up the ladder of ranking. According to the QS University Ranking 2025, the University of Hong Kong is #2 in Asia and #17 in the world. We should be proud of our alma mater.

May I wish you all a wonderful holiday season. Let us pray for world peace and prosperity!
